Mt. St. Helens Winter Camping
Snow Camp on Mt. St. Helens
Join us for a two-day winter camping adventure on the snowy slopes of Mt. Saint Helens. Snowshoe to camp at 4000' for spectacular views without the bugs and crowds. We'll also be teaching winter shelter building and the skills you need to stay comfortable and safe overnight in the backcountry. During downtime you'll have the option of snowshoeing to gain elevation and a panorama of the mountain and its pristine surroundings.
Your guides will teach you everything you need to know about using snowshoes, winter camping, and backpacking. No experience necessary!
Participants must be able to snowshoe up to 7 miles a day up moderate to steep inclines while carrying a 40lb (or heavier) pack.
